Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PocketInbox (the "Site"). By using the Site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
1. The Service
PocketInbox is a free aggregator that lets you generate, view, and delete disposable email inboxes provided by independent third-party services. We do not run a mail server. All inboxes are created on, and all email is stored by, those third-party providers. Our role is the user-facing interface and a thin set of API proxies for providers that don't permit direct browser calls.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or older where required by your jurisdiction) to use the Site.
3. Permitted use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. Without limitation, you agree not to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email, harass, defame, or threaten any person.
- Attempt to defraud anyone, evade bans on third-party services, or commit identity theft.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Bypass our rate limits, abuse our API routes, or interfere with the Site's normal operation.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or republish the Site without our written consent.
- Use the Site for activity that infringes intellectual-property rights, including DMCA-protected content.
- Use the Site in violation of any upstream provider's Terms of Service.
4. Upstream providers
Each inbox you generate is hosted by an upstream provider whose own terms apply concurrently. Read them before relying on the service:
5. Service "as is"
The Site is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site or the upstream providers will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that emails will arrive. Disposable mail is inherently best-effort.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketInbox and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Site. In any case, our cumulative liability shall not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. The Site is free; this clause may apply.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PocketInbox harmless from any claim, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
8. DMCA
If you believe content displayed via the Site (e.g. an email rendered in our reader) infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to hello@pocketinbox.app with: a description of the work, the URL or material, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act. Counter-notices may be sent the same way. Bear in mind we generally do not store email content; the upstream provider may be the right addressee.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time, for any reason, including suspected abuse. You may stop using the Site at any time and clear your local data via Settings → Clear local data.
10. Modifications
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PocketInbox is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
