Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how and why PocketInbox uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies. We split everything into four categories. Until you make a choice in our consent banner, we set only the strictly-necessary category. You can change preferences at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Modern websites also use localStorage and sessionStorage, which we treat as cookies for transparency.
Categories
Strictly necessary
Required for the Site to work. These cannot be disabled. They include the cookie-consent record itself (so we don't ask you again on every page) and a small functional record that prevents abuse of our API routes.
Functional
Remember your settings (theme, haptics) and your generated inboxes so refreshing the page doesn't lose them. Stored entirely on your device.
Analytics
Anonymous usage measurements via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation. Only loaded after your consent.
Advertising
Personalised ads via Google AdSense. Only loaded after your consent. Google's ads may set additional cookies for measurement and personalisation; refer to Google's cookie policy for details.

How to manage cookies
- From this site: click "Cookie Preferences" in the footer to revisit your choices.
- From your browser: all major browsers let you block, accept, or delete cookies for individual sites. Search "manage cookies" plus your browser's name.
- From Google: visit My Ad Center to limit personalisation.
Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where present and treat it as a "Reject all non-essential" choice. Browser DNT signals are inconsistently implemented; we do not rely on them alone.
